IntroMaker December Stats + 2022 Recap

2022 Numbers

2022 goes down as the highest revenue year yet! (Beating my covid bump year by $45.77).

Pretty pleased with the consistency over the last few years.

revenue stats

I made huge progress in 2022 on avg spend / LTV.

  • Original CLTV: ~$8
  • Added subs/4K renders last fall: ~$11
  • Revamped subs/pricing in April: ~$14

I'm making ~$0.25/visit on US/UK/CA/AUS traffic now (including lower intent keywords), which makes testing ads almost viable.

But it'll actually be the worst year from a taxable net POV – I handed most of the gross to an SEO agency so I could be more hands-off, with the rest just shy of depreciation + interest + discretionary expenses (paper loss!).

I don't need the cashflow, so it seems fine just plowing it back into the business to keep it going on autopilot while I tinker with other things.

2023 goals are basically nonexistent!

  • migrate to GA4 (forced)
  • add annual plans
  • get rid of ads (my internal metric for this was when MRR crosses one-time sales, which would be nice to hit in 2023)
  • tinker with attribution/paid ads
  • pay off the last $10k debt

Intro Maker December Stats

$5,410.53 in gross profit (+16%)

  • MRR: $887 -> $1055
  • Subscribers: 38 -> 45
  • Trials: 24 -> 25

MRR is growing slower than my model predicts, but any growth is good growth!

Had a big traffic spike early in the month (render servers were struggling to keep up), but the Dec 22 algorithm update wasn't kind. Expect it to be lower for a few months.
